Job Summary
Primary responsibilities include income audits, Billing, Collections and balance sheet reconciliation.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for Accounts Receivable including but not limited to: maintaining a billing control log, accurately posting and applying payments, maintain customer files, and collections.
- Responsible for monthly credit meetings.
- Responsible for auditing all property postings and revenue.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively identify problems and generate solutions.
- Ensure a strong accounting and operating control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability. Ensure compliance with all applicable local laws and procedures.
- Advise Asst. Director of Finance on existing and evolving operating / financial issues.
- Monitor all applicable taxes are current, collected / or accrued, and processed.
- Ensure meeting of all required deliverable deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with standard and local operating procedures.
- Support and complete additional duties as necessary and assigned.
- Perform other duties as management requests.
- 2- year college degree or equivalent in Finance and Accounting or related Major
- Work experience preferred.
- Previous hotel experience required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to interact patiently, tactfully, and diplomatically with internal and external guests.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Corrected vision to normal range.
- Ability to work long hours as needed
- Make sound judgments quickly
- Work on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlines
- Able to work independently, take direction and provide direction to others
- Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
- Ability to effectively handle challenges in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
