Responsibilities
A key enabler of Mainsprings mission is the ability of its team to deliver solutions based on our linear generator technology that solve customer problems in the cross-section of resiliency and clean power generation. This includes site due diligence, design engineering, permitting, construction operations, and commissioning.
A Senior Asset Manager Will:

Be responsible for overseeing the inspection, maintenance, reliability, and functional operation of the Balance of Plant systems for power generation facilities. This role ensures that the BoP systems such as fuel delivery, power distribution and communication networks are optimally maintained, compliant with safety and regulatory standards, and capable of supporting reliable power generation.

Identify, manage and coordinate contractors for operational activities, including quality inspections, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, etc.

Develop and enforce quality acceptance criteria, ensuring compliance with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) guidelines.

Identify site equipment, materials, and consumable, to stock and ensure that the sites have minimal downtime for repairs / preventative maintenance.

Facilitate coordination with Field Operations and Service teams to support troubleshooting and operational issues on sites

Work with contractors and manage warranty claims and on site corrective work.

Manage retrofit projects by bidding, contracting and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.

Develop and implement regular preventive maintenance plans and inspections, including corrosion assessments, grounding tests, transformer inspections, and gas fuel systems, electrical protection, calibrations, including transformer maintenance, electrical testing, metering checks, and protection relay functional testing.

Maintain site records and databases to document inspection results, maintenance schedules, and all operational changes or updates.

Collaborate with external contractors, site owners, and internal teams to resolve site-specific issues, manage unforeseen outages, and ensure consistent operational quality.

Coordinate with other teams to ensure the necessary documentation is in place to naturally transitions projects to operational assets.
Qualifications

8 years of experience in project management or site operations, specifically within power generation, distributed energy resources, or utility-scale facilities.

Demonstrated expertise in Power Generators operation and maintenance or similar systems, with experience across pre- and post-COD phases.

Strong background in preventative maintenance planning and hands-on experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting electrical systems, communication systems, instrumentation, and relay control systems.

Proficiency in project and asset management software and ability to use digital tools for inspection scheduling, documentation, and reporting.

Knowledge of electrical testing protocols (e.g., Megger testing, torque inspections) and safety compliance standards, with experience coordinating testing and calibration of transformers, relays and process instrumentation .

Excellent organizational and communication skills, able to coordinate complex workflows, communicate effectively with contractors and team members, and document key project activities.

Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing site challenges and risks.

Bachelors degree in engineering, project management, or a related field preferred; additional certifications in O&M, NETA, or relevant industry standards a plus.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and ensure safe, effective LGen and Balance of Plant management in a dynamic, high-output environment.
The Bay Area salary for this role is $109k-$128k base bonus pre-IPO stock options benefits. This position is remote. The salary will be adjusted to reflect local market conditions based on employee location as well as the experience of the employee.

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
