We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Cost Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in supply chain cost analysis and optimization strategies. The Supply Chain Cost Engineering Intern will work closely with our experienced team members to support various projects aimed at improving cost efficiency and reporting of our product.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting cost analysis across different aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, manufacturing, transportation, and distribution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, engineering, logistics, production, and finance to collect and analyze data.
- Help develop and maintain current cost models to evaluate the impact of different scenarios on overall BOM costs.
- Assist in the development of a database (Intuit Quickbase) application to facilitate cost reduction efforts and cost modeling.
- Support in the development of a new QuickBase application for cost modeling.
- Assist in monitoring and tracking initiatives aimed at reducing costs, offering updates and reports to management as necessary.
- Participate in the deployment of Enovia PLM, advocating for Supply Chain requirements during PLM implementation.
- Assist in ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in Engineering, Supply chain management, Finance, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and Google Sheet
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain software
- Experience with Enovia
- Understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
- Previous internship experience in PLM deployment, data analysis or supply chain
The Bay Area hourly wage for this role is $27-$35 benefits. This position will report on-site in Menlo Park, CA. The hourly wage will be adjusted based on the experience of the employee.
