Responsibilities:
- Engaging Interactions: Forge meaningful connections with residents, staff, and family members through positive interactions.
- Companionship: Provide companionship and support to residents through recreational activities during daily visits.
- Life Skills Coaching: Utilize your experience or interest in caregiving to assist residents with activities of daily living, including medication reminders, personal hygiene, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily service logs and track progress towards residents' care plan goals.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare dinner for/with residents and adhere to dietary plans.
- Communication: Report any changes in residents' health or behavior to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience or Interest in Caregiving: Prior experience or a strong interest in caregiving for individuals living with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Dependability: Demonstrate reliability and commitment to fulfilling job responsibilities consistently.
- Compassion: We value individuals with the right skills and personality traits, regardless of prior experience.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid certifications preferred, or ability to obtain within the first 30 days of employment.
