Position : OSP Engineer

Location : Indiana

Pay Range : $65K per year (based on experience)

Schedule : Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM

What You’ll Be Doing :

Lead the design of new fiber networks from start to finish, including backbone feeder design, FTTH, and enterprise business services.

Create and maintain detailed fiber design documents and communicate with fiber engineers and stakeholders.

Engineer aerial and underground fiber plant designs, including coordinating with vendors for pole loading analysis and make-ready.

Prepare and manage permits for ROW, Railroad, and DOTs.

Perform quality checks on construction prints and splicing sheets submitted by contractors.

Offer valuable insights into best practices , field construction methods, and telecom products.

Contribute to greenfield FTTH network planning and ensure projects meet safety and legal standards.

What We’re Looking For :

Required Education : High School Diploma (Bachelor's degree in STEM preferred)

Experience : 3-5 years in Outside Plant Design with 1-2 years in FTTH (Fiber to the Home) design.

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS software, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience in aerial and underground fiber construction

Understanding of OSHA safety standards

Knowledge of OSP Engineering / Construction practices

PON Fiber Network planning experience is a plus

Certifications : OSHA, CPR, CDL (preferred but not required)

Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with a focus on collaboration and problem-solving.
