What a typical day as a Permit Coordinator might look like:
- Research, identify, and acquire all necessary permits, licenses, and approvals required for the deployment of fiber optic infrastructure in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of permit requirements, procedures, and deadlines to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, municipalities, and other relevant agencies to facilitate the permit application and approval process.
- Monitor and track the progress of permit applications, address any issues or concerns, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to permits, licenses, and approvals obtained, including permit applications, legal agreements, and compliance records.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- HSD, or equivalent education, is required
- High School Diploma, or equivalent education, required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, urban planning, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a permits coordinator, project coordinator, or similar role, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
- Familiarity with the permitting processes and requirements for fiber optic network deployment.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing permits and approvals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple permits and projects simultaneously.
