- Technical Support: Assist technicians in the remote or onsite installation of IP devices on customer networks, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Customer Training: Provide comprehensive training to customers on configuring and using their phone systems effectively, enhancing user experience and satisfaction.
- Configuration Expertise: Guide customers through the setup and configuration of voice systems, troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel throughout the state of Indiana to support installations and customer training sessions as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical support and installation staff, to resolve issues and improve service delivery for voice solutions.
- Additional responsibilities as necessary
- Proven experience as a Voice Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong focus on IP telephony and VoIP technologies.
- Solid understanding of voice protocols (SIP, RTP, H.323) and networking principles.
- Experience in installing and configuring voice systems, as well as troubleshooting voice-related issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support customers effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges.
- Willingness to travel as needed within the state of Indiana.
Additional Notes
- Mainstream utilizes Juniper equipment for its core routing and switching and Calix for its customer premise equipment. Familiarity with these vendors and their accompanying software is a plus.
- This role will be in-house with flexibility to work between Nashville, IN and Indianapolis.
