Harm Reduction Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all harm reduction programs in the Community Prevention Division.
The role ensures that each program's policies and procedures are adhered to and up-to-date. It also participates in strategic planning meetings with the Division Director, CEO, and other staff as assigned.
Job Summary
This position supports the management of harm reduction programs and ensures the implementation of quality interventions. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of harm reduction principles and trauma-informed care.
Main Responsibilities
- Harm Reduction Program Management: Oversees and manages all harm reduction programs in the Community Prevention Division.
- Policies and Procedures: Ensures that each program's policies and procedures are adhered to and up-to-date.
- Grant Reporting: Assists with oversight of monthly, quarterly, and biannual programmatic reports related to federal, state, and county grants.
- Staff Supervision: Provides direct supervision to Community Prevention harm reduction staff members in collaboration with the Division Director.
- Community Engagement: Works with various community agencies and groups to plan and implement harm reduction activities.
- Staff Development: Assists with the hiring, training, and supervising of Community Prevention harm reduction staff.
Requirements
- Education: Master's degree in social work, human services, or a related field.
- Experience: At least three years of relevant experience, preferably with familiarity with the Elizabeth/Union County community.
- Skill Set: Familiarity with harm reduction and trauma-informed care, strong writing and presentation skills, and ability to engage participants in a community-based setting.
