About the Role:

As a Chassis Electrical Technician at Maintainer Corporation of Iowa (MCI), your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the electrical systems in our chassis products. You will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, working closely with the engineering and production teams to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components. Your expertise will contribute to the overall quality and reliability of our products, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of safety and performance. By successfully fulfilling this role, you will directly impact the success of our manufacturing operations and the satisfaction of our customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as an electrical technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certification in electrical technology or a related field.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in the automotive or heavy equipment sector.
  • Familiarity with chassis electrical systems and their specific requirements.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and wire electrical components in chassis products according to engineering specifications and wiring diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential failures.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to develop and implement improvements in electrical system design and installation processes.
  • Document all electrical work performed, including repairs, modifications, and upgrades, in accordance with company procedures.

Skills:

In this role, your strong knowledge of electrical systems and components will be essential in installing and wiring electrical components accurately and efficiently. Your ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams will enable you to ensure that the electrical systems are installed correctly and in compliance with specifications. Your troubleshooting and problem-solving skills will be crucial in identifying and resolving any issues or malfunctions in the electrical systems.
