General Responsibility Statement:
With supervision from VP of Manufacturing & Director of Product Development, performs a variety of project-related activities related to creating and updating facility maps for the 3 Maintainer properties. Works closely with employees in Engineering, Manufacturing, and other support functions on various projects. Previous 2d CAD experience is required. Software to be used is AutoCAD or NanoCAD.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Use the 2D CAD software to update facility maps.
2. Detailed and accurate measurement of existing facilities using layers for equipment, electrical, water, and drain lines.
3. Work with Maintenance & HR/Safety to detail door numbers, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, etc.
4. Follow all organizational and departmental procedures, safety policies and directives as outlined in, but not limited to:
A. Maintainer Employee Handbook
B. Maintainer Quality Manual
5. Performs other projects and duties as directed by the VP of Manufacturing and Director of Product Development.
Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Previous experience in computer operations including CAD (2D and 3D). Familiar with
all Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Education, Reasoning Ability, and/or Experience:
Requires previous CAD competency. Current or future plans for enrollment in a two-year Engineering Design or four-year program for Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) preferred.
The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to apply common sense problem solving techniques. Ability to apply standard drawing practices when producing design documentation (i.e.: line conventions and dimensioning).
Math
Must have knowledge and an understanding of the following mathematical expressions and be proficient in applying them to the general responsibilities of the positions. Math requirements, but not limited to: logarithms, exponents, and simple statistics.
Communication and Language skills:
Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write moderately detailed correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required to sit and use a computer. Handle paper work, stand and use hands and fingers to grasp and hold objects, tools and/or controls. Must also be able to reach with arms and hands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is also at times, exposed to fumes and or airborne particulate.
