Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent with a strong emphasis on safety and concrete work. The ideal candidate will also manage other projects as needed, ensuring successful project delivery, adherence to safety standards, and effective team leadership. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Project Management: Lead and manage the Bollard program, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating all activities to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Safety Management: Implement and enforce strict safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
- Concrete Work: Supervise all aspects of concrete work, including formwork, placement, finishing, and curing, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Direct and oversee the work of foremen, subcontractors, and laborers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Resource Management: Manage project resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Quality Control: Monitor and inspect work in progress to ensure it meets project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project, implementing solutions to keep the project on track.
- Client Relations: Maintain strong communication with clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and progress updates.
- Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally to other states, staying on-site for weeks at a time to oversee project completion.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in construction, with a strong background in safety management and concrete work.
- C-store Experience (i.e 7/11 Acquisition, new store, and remodels)
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- OSHA certification and other relevant safety certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in construction and maintenance environments.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work on construction sites, including standing, walking, and climbing as necessary.
- Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment as required.
