Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Data Center Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our data center operations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of all systems. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
SHIFT: Tuesday - Friday 10am-7pm, and Saturday 8AM-5PM
Requires Flexibility for occasional overtime
Responsibilities
- Client-facing interactions via email, IM, and phone calls to coordinate activities inside the DCs
- Hardware Break/Fix Activities (DIMM replacements, Disk swaps, cache battery swaps, etc)
- Server Installs
- Server Changes (disk/memory adds)
- Server Move coordination/execution
- Network/Storage device rack/stack & connectivity
- Tape Library Operations (rotations, recalls, scanning)
- Vendor Escorts
- Managing colocation remote hands services to execute work outside of the NY/NJ area
- Shipping/Receiving (unboxing packages, moving to storage, packing boxes for shipment to other locations)
