Field Service Technician

Maintenance Engineering Group is actively seeking experienced Field Service Technicians for a client in the packaging industry. This is a high-impact, travel-based role ideal for candidates with a strong mechanical and electrical background, particularly in PLC-based packaging machinery.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be responsible for the installation, training, troubleshooting, and repair of complex packaging machinery at customer sites across the U.S. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong communication skills, independent decision-making, and a problem-solving mindset.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Installs equipment and associated Machinery as required by the customer to interface with new or existing production line equipment
• Work as a Project Manager managing installations and training nee customers.
• Troubleshoot PLC's
• Perform customer acceptance testing
• Good communicating skills with an engineering mindset
• Result-driven, able to work in challenging business environment
• Maintain customer support by resolving issues and answering concerns

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• 3 years of experience troubleshooting and debugging PLCs packaging machinery
• Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electronics and /or Electrical Engineering preferred
• COMPUTER SKILLS: (Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite )

Pay: From $36.00 per hour
