What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Maintenance Engineering Group?
Join our team as a Machine Operator! In this role, you will operate CNC milling/turning machine centers and/or manual machinery, performing routine or repetitive operations to consistently meet customer specifications, quality requirements, and production standards. Additionally, you will conduct plating operations with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards.
Description:
- Shifts:1st Shift: 5:00 am to 3:30 pm (Monday-Thursday) OR 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (Monday-Friday)
- 2nd Shift: 3:25 pm to 1:55 am (Monday-Thursday) OR 3:25 pm to 11:55 pm (Monday-Friday) with a $1.50/hour Shift Premium
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent, with machine shop classwork desired.
- 6 months to 1 year of related CNC milling/turning machine center and/or manual machining experience in a related manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate saws and work in an annealing center.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and mechanical inspection.
- Proficiency in shop math and ability to read a tape measure.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment.
