JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE
JOB DESCRIPTION NARRATIVE:
Keep the district's facilities in effective operating condition, promote efficiency and ensure an environment conducive to quality educational programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge: High School diploma or equivalent
Skills: Electrical, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, basic maintenance repair skills, able to climb ladder with tools and/or equipment, able to lift 70 lbs. or more; must be able to be on feet most of the day
Machines/Equipment: General maintenance tools/equipment (saws, drills, hammers, etc.), carpentry tools, plumbing tools, masonry equipment, electrical tools, welder, HVAC equipment, locks, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Primary:
- Maintenance and general repairs for all facilities
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
- Keep heating and cooling systems operating
- General maintenance on a regular basis (i.e., changing filters, safety inspections, equipment inspections, etc.)
Secondary:
- Perform maintenance duties accurately, economically, and maximize use of time
- Responsible for maintenance of all equipment owned/operated by TPS
- Promote safety and good housekeeping at all times
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
“Licensed” classification includes: Plumber, Heat/Air, Electrician. Must possess current license appropriate to work assignment and/or craft.
“Skilled” classification includes: Carpenter, Cabinet Maker, Painter
“General” classification includes: any area not listed above

Days: 243 - 8hrs/day 12 paid holidays 255 Total Paid Days

Wages: Class 200 For Support Pay Scales, Click Here
Fringes: per negotiated agreement
Vacation: 10 days per year
