Primary Purpose
- Manages the installation, upgrading, monitoring, and maintaining of intercom, sound, and clock systems as part of the district’s safety systems
Qualifications
Education/Certification

High school diploma or GED

Must pass CCISD Drug and Alcohol Abuse Standards

Must be able to pass criminal history and MVR driving record checks as required by CCISD
Special Knowledge/Skills
-
Ability to learn and perform tasks with limited supervision.
- Knowledgeable in sound systems, wiring, and operation.
- Knowledgeable in intercom systems, wiring, and operation.
- Knowledge in troubleshooting data communications hardware, including computer networking.
- Knowledge of low voltage and structured cabling systems.
- Ability to learn specialized programing methods to configure application specific hardware.
- Knowledgeable in basic radio theory as it pertains to wireless microphones.
- Ability to solder, test, and repair electronic equipment, including assembling cables, and coax.
- Ability to read and understand schematics, diagrams, and other technical documentation.
Minimum Experience
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in current intercom systems installation, repair, and maintenance preferred.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining sound system equipment and technologies.
- Experience in network configurations, topologies, and installation.
- Experience with wiring and cabling installation in buildings.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for the repair, programming, modification, and maintenance of all intercom systems in the district.
- Responsible for the repair, programming, modification, and maintenance of all local analog and digital sound systems in the district.
- Maintain documentation of all systems under purview.
- Maintain and service all intercom speakers for classrooms, offices, hallways, and exterior of buildings.
- Reset time on master clock systems.
- Perform installation of intercom equipment for all portable buildings within the district.
- Responsible for user level training on operation of intercom and sound systems.
- Work with and direct contractor personnel when needed.
- Be available for after hour demands.

- Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
