Locksmith

Primary Purpose

Install and repair all locks and hardware to help ensure that full educational use of the building can be obtained. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

Qualifications

Education/Certification/Licensure

• High school diploma or GED
• Texas driver’s license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and skill to perform lock repair, window repair, and related maintenance assignments
• Ability to operate all tools and equipment common to trade in a safe manner

Experience

• Requirement determined by supervisor

Major Responsibilities and Duties 

1. Perform lock installations and repair; window repair and related maintenance.
2. Operate all tools and equipment common to trade in a safe manner.
3. Report all safety hazards in district facilities.
4. Examine district facilities on a regular basis for preventive maintenance relating to job.
5. Respond to emergency repairs immediately and report problems to supervisor.
6. Follow all safety regulations related to any and all trade areas.
7. Be available to work flexible schedules or shifts to accomplish tasks.
8. Be available for after hour demands as needed.
9. Work with minimum supervision.

20. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
21. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
22. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
23. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.

Including but not limited to all tools required for lock repairs and power and hand tools for door and window repair

Ability to maintain concentration while working with small electrical equipment; ability to maintain emotional control at all times

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

Strenuous walking, standing, and climbing; ability to lift up to 80 pounds; inside and outside exposure to hot and cold temperatures
