Full-Time Nanny (Evenings Weekends Required) for a DUMBO Family

A loving and busy family in DUMBO is seeking an experienced, proactive, and nurturing nanny to join their home and provide full-time care for their baby boy. The ideal candidate will be active, highly organized, and adaptable, with a warm and professional demeanor. The role requires flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a long-term commitment to supporting the family's dynamic lifestyle. Schedule:
- 5 days per week, including weekends and mid-week evening support
Preferred schedule options:- Tuesday – Sunday (Monday & Tuesday OFF)
- OR
- Tuesday, Thursday – Sunday (Monday & Wednesday OFF)
- 40 hours per week, with potential increases depending on the weekend schedule
Family travels to the Hudson Valley 2-3 times per month (more frequently in the summer and less in the winter/spring); overnights/live-in support is expected during these weekends. - Flexibility is key – earlier/later days, date nights, travel, and overnight stays may be required, particularly upstate.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide loving and developmentally appropriate care for the baby.
- Prioritize the baby’s growth, well-being, and routine.
- Handle all child-related tidying, organization, and cleaning.
- Meal preparation and cooking for the baby and, occasionally, the family.
- Organize and maintain the baby’s bedroom, closet, and play areas in both residences
- Assist with bathing, diapering, potty training, and developmental milestones.
- Research and suggest appropriate activities, books, and educational materials
- Travel with the family as needed (both upstate and domestically/internationally).
Compensation & Benefits:
- $35 - $45 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in the USA.
- Minimum 5 years of nanny experience (NYC experience preferred).
- Proven long-term tenure with families and excellent references.
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers.
- Dog-friendly (family has an 18 lb hypoallergenic terrier, Albie).
- Strong communication, reliability, punctuality, maturity, and emotional intelligence.
- Flexibility in schedule and willingness to travel (weekends upstate, domestic & international).
- Knowledge of child development, ages, and stages.
- Comfortable handling all child-related duties (including light housekeeping, cooking, laundry, and organization).
- Confident cook, open to occasional family meal prep and cooking.
- Tech-savvy and proactive communicator.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Qualifications:
- Fluent in Spanish to speak/teach the child.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (comfortable transporting child as needed).
Salary : $35 - $45
