What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Nanny for West Village Family #FT0138 position at Maison D'Enfants?
Full Time Nanny required starting May 2025 for a West Village family with a baby due in February 2025. Specific childcare duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing nurturing care to the baby, prioritizing baby's development and handling all child related tidying and cleaning. You will be responsible for planning activities, attending classes with baby and partnering with the family in their child's milestones.
The family is looking for someone with positive energy who is loving, engaged and proactive. The hands on parents value an open dialogue conducive to a warm and welcoming working environment for their child and nanny to thrive in. To be successful in this role, you will need to be organized, observant and comfortable committing to a family who values direct and transparent communication.
Recent experience with infants and flexibility with scheduling is essential for this family. Frequent travel (monthly) to the family's home upstate plus additional domestic and international travel is expected. This multi-cultural family strongly prefers a bilingual nanny (Hindi, French or Spanish would be ideal) - however, the family is open to interviewing all exceptional candidates.
Location: West Village, NYC
Start date: May 2025 (Family does have a NCS in place when baby is born)
Days/times: Guaranteed 40-50 hours/week: general work hours to land between 8:30am - 6:00pm, with ability and interest to flex as needed for earlier/later days, date nights, travel, etc.
Children: Baby due February 2025
Conditions: $25 - $35 per hour* plus unlimited metrocard, health care stipend, sick/personal days, vacation and public holidays *dependent on experience and other considerations
For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:
- A minimum of 3 years working as a part time or full time nanny, 5 years preferred
- Fluency in Hindi preferred; open to French, Spanish or other languages
- A well-suited demeanor for working infants and with toddlers
- Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
- Proven tenure with multiple families including excellent references
- Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
- An open and flexible schedule
- Ability to complete all child related duties (including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying bedroom and play areas, laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc)
