Monday-Friday Schedule

8am-4:30pm with some flexibility

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating staffing needs within a healthcare setting, ensuring appropriate coverage and compliance with regulatory standards.

Duties:
- Coordinate and schedule healthcare staff assignments based on patient needs and staff qualifications
- Maintain accurate records of staff credentials, certifications, and availability
- Collaborate with department managers to address staffing needs and resolve scheduling conflicts
- Monitor and adjust staffing levels to meet patient care requirements
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards related to staffing ratios
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to confirm shifts and provide necessary information

Experience:

- Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a teaching hospital or similar environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures such as ICD-9 coding, cardiac catheterization, spinal tap, vital signs monitoring, and patient care protocols
- Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient care settings
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals and patients
