Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator with 7 years of expertise in managing and securing enterprise networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco Catalyst Switches, and advanced networking technologies. This role involves designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network security and performance in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls and Cisco Catalyst Switches.
- Implement and manage VPNs, VLANs, MPLS, SD-WAN, and WAN optimization.
- Monitor network performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues related to routing, switching, and firewall policies.
- Configure and maintain firewall rules, NAT, ACLs, and IPS/IDS policies on Fortinet FortiGate.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patches, and system maintenance for networking devices.
- Ensure network security through segmentation, Zero Trust architecture, and access controls.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and network expansions.
- Document network topology, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Provide technical mentorship and support to junior network engineers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in enterprise network administration and security.
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls (FortiOS, IPS, SD-WAN).
- Expertise in Cisco Catalyst Switches (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, QoS, ACLs).
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VRFs).
- Proficiency in VPN configurations (IPsec, SSL) and network segmentation.
- Experience with Wireshark, TCPDump, or other network diagnostic tools.
- Understanding of cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
Certifications (Preferred but Not Mandatory):
- Fortinet NSE4/NSE5/NSE7
- Cisco CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security
- CompTIA Security or CISSP
