Maize USD 266 is seeking a dynamic and effective communicator with a broad range of skills and strengths, specifically website management, social media, writing, graphic design, and photography. Join our team to help tell the story of our growing school district and engage with our community of students, employees, and families. This position supports the Executive Director of Communications and requires a Bachelor's degree. 2 years of experience in communications / marketing preferred.

Essential Functions
- Manage district website migration, development, and content strategy.
- Develop and implement a district social media strategy.
- Support and train building-level communications secretaries so they can effectively communicate via various platforms.
- Coordinate employee awards and recognition programming, including related events.
- Create content through graphic design, photography, videography, and writing.
- As necessary, attend and cover special events that may occur outside of the regular work day.
- Provide support when needed related to time-sensitive communications.
- Support the Executive Director of Communications and other district leaders with internal and external strategic communications.
- Performs other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of Maize USD 266.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education, Certification
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or similar field.
Experience
2 years relevant professional experience preferred
Physical Demands, Working Environment
Able to lift heavy objects.
85% sitting, 5% walking, 5% standing, 5% lifting / carrying.
The job is performed under minimal temperature variations.
Job may include some travel.
Must be able to work with many interruptions.
