Position Summary : To supervise Senior Wellness Aides in performing defined resident care procedures that do not require the skill or training required for a Certified Nurse Aide (“CNA”) and assist with scheduling. The Senior Wellness Aide is also responsible for assisting the residents to achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible.

Check resident temperaturesAssist with room changes; remove linen, sanitize bed and replace with clean linenAssist resident in repositioning in bedAssist resident in transferring from bed to chairAssist with walking residentsAssist with bed bath / perineal careAssist dependent resident with dressingAssist resident with bathroom careAssist with oral care, hearing aid placement and denture careAssist with eating and passing fresh waterAssist with resident medication passes and proper documentationRespond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety, and privacyTransport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby, and activities)Follow proper infection control techniquesRespect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentialityFollow safe working practices and report any incidents promptly to Clinical Director.Treat all residents with kindness, respect, and dignityMust demonstrate empathy, courteous, kind, and professional workplace behavior and customer services to all residents, Care Team Members, vendors, visitors, and family members at all times.Attends all mandatory in-services; and completes timely all necessary Relias trainings scheduled to perform. Keeps abreast and / or discusses with supervisor or manager all necessary policies, procedures, and business practices within the scope of the position held to effectively perform all duties assigned.Perform other tasks as assigned and within scope of practice.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This position requires for the care team member to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language.This position requires for the care team member to be able to reach (overhead), stand, walk, sit, pull, lift, carry, push, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and twist a minimum of 50 pounds.This position requires knowledge of basic resident care.This position requires for the care team member to be able to work with a culturally diverse resident and care team member population while remaining patient and polite.This position requires for the care team member to be able to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.Must demonstrate empathy, courteous, kind and professional workplace behavior and customer services to all residents, care team members, vendors, visitors and family members at all times.Assist when needed with cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms, and other areas of the community.Provide general direction to staff when management is not available.May be required to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to; weekend and holiday rotation and work the on-call schedule rotation.MCARE
