Majestic Care is currently looking for Wellness Aides to work alongside clinical staff assisting with the day-to-day needs of residents.
With the completion of a temporary nurse aide training class and orientation (at no expense to you), you will work alongside our care team members to assist our patients/residents with their activities of daily living.
You will ensure that patients'/residents' and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual patients'/residents' needs and rights.

Position Summary: To perform defined resident care procedures that do not require the skill or training required for a Certified Nurse Aide (“CNA”). The Wellness Aide is also responsible for assisting the residents to achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Check resident temperatures
- Assist with room changes; remove linen, sanitize bed and replace with clean linen
- Assist resident in repositioning in bed
- Assist resident in transferring from bed to chair
- Assist with walking residents
- Assist with bed bath/perineal care
- Assist dependent resident with dressing
- Assist resident with bathroom care
- Assist with oral care, hearing aid placement and denture care
- Assist with eating and passing fresh water
- Assist with resident medication passes and proper documentation
- Respond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety, and privacy
- Transport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby, and activities)
- Follow proper infection control techniques
- Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality
- Follow safe working practices and report any incidents promptly to Clinical Director.
- Treat all residents with kindness, respect, and dignity
- Must demonstrate empathy, courteous, kind, and professional workplace behavior and customer services to all residents, Care Team Members, vendors, visitors and family members at all times.
- Attends all mandatory in-services; and completes timely all necessary Relias trainings scheduled to perform. Keeps abreast and/or discusses with supervisor or manager all necessary policies, procedures, and business practices within the scope of the position held to effectively perform all duties assigned.
- Must hold an active CPR license or the ability to obtain within the first 30-days of hire; Must be kept active and current throughout employment.
- Assist when needed with cleaning and sanitizing reside t rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms, and other areas of the community.
- Perform other tasks as assigned and within scope of practice.
