Majestic Steel is seeking a Material Handler to join our Shipping and Receiving team on first Shift! Our Material Handlers play a key role in providing a Majestic Experience- they move our material with care to be processed, place material accordingly in storage, or help to set the stage. Majestic Steel has an immaculate facility, strong safety culture and offers competitive compensation & benefits! Schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 pm.

- Operate lift truck to transport material within service center.
- Move product to storage areas; place and stack material according to company guidelines.
- Maneuver lift truck and/or other material handling equipment safely and efficiently through limited space areas.
- Stock and rotate material as necessary.
- Verify counts of product shipped and/or received.
- Stage material for sales and production orders.
- Perform daily lift truck inspections and follow lift truck operation guidelines and procedures.
- Report equipment failures or other issues to immediate supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Wear appropriate protective equipment as required and in accordance with safety policies and OSHA standards.
- Assist with housekeeping and provide support in other areas as required.
- Other job related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Some manufacturing and/or warehouse experience.
- One year lift truck operation experience.
- Experience with MS Office products and windows-based computer applications.
- Operate lift trucks with ram and fork attachments or crane (if applicable) pertaining to your area.
- Operate assigned equipment in a safe, effective and efficient manner.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes and procedures.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain neat and orderly conditions in work area and help maintain and promote safe conditions throughout the facility.
- Communicate with management and co-workers in an effective manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years lift truck operation experience.
- Lift truck experience handling heavy loads (10,000 pounds or more).
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects up to 70 lbs.
- Must be able to walk; sit; stand; climb; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl up to 10 hours.
- Must be able to mount, dismount and operate powered industrial equipment.
- Must be able to work in both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions.
- Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days, as needed, which includes weekdays and weekends.
