The Position
The Financial Controller, based in Salt Lake City, is a key member of the US division’s management team with overall responsibility over all financial matters. The successful candidate must have the ability to understand financial data and translate this for use by the remainder of the operational management team to optimize performance management and decision making. The position reports to the General Managers, US Operations and the Corporate Controller.
As a collaborative leader, the Financial Controller is responsible for:
- Management of the accounting and finance team including accountants, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ensuring proper internal controls are in place in accordance with applicable regulations and corporate policies.
- Continuous improvement of processes to improve overall divisional performance.
- Assisting the General Manager, US Operations in the management of the division.
We are looking for a hands-on financial leader that would be able to demonstrate:
- Critical thinking to resolve problems
- Excellent communication skills
- A strong knowledge of internal controls
- Experience with monthly financial reporting and dealing with external/internal auditors.
- Superior excel skills
- Experience with inventory and procurement processes
- Ease of understanding of financial systems.
- Experience with a comprehensive ERP system would be considered an asset.
