Job Description:
We are looking for a creative, passionate, enthusiastic, and experience CPG salesperson who has an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to "play to win". Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Sales Manager Natural/Specialty will have a key role in our Specialty and Natural Channel of business. The successful candidate will have the passion, expertise, and drive to develop a strategic broker/distributor network to help us accelerate current volume and develop new business opportunities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience as a key account salesperson and broker manager in the Natural/Specialty class of trade.
- Must have considerable experience managing WFM and their National footprint. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the team at WFM Global in Austin, TX.
- Must have considerable experience working with Natural and Specialty Distributors in the channel (UNFI, KeHE, DPI, etc.)
- Must have demonstrated a proven track record of successfully growing in sales and achieved new product points of distribution and building strong customer relationships.
- Must be a self-starter with strong multi-tasking skills and excellent communication and follow-up.
- Able to solve problems with minimum supervision.
- Knowledge of the pasta sauce category is helpful but not required.
- People skills - can build positive and productive relationships with customers and our broker partners.
- Proficiency with MS Office utilizing Power Point and a solid understanding of basic Excel formulas.
- Travel up to 50% of the time.
- Preferred location Mid-West or West Coast
Job Responsibility:
- Manage broker and distributor network-track, analyze and optimize broker and distributor performance to increase distribution, promotion, and in-store presence.
- Establish a schedule with our Broker team members where you will set priorities, receive account updates, and ensure we are on the calendar for key customer category reviews.
- Manage and keep our account tracker up to date.
- Work directly with the broker account managers on setting up promotions, reviewing sales data and address opportunities and concerns.
- Develop fact based selling stories and effective sales presentations for our customers.
- Maintain positive business relationships with key retailers and distributors.
- Contribute to the company's overall strategy for growth, sales, new distribution, and help achieve our goal of building the best pasta sauce brand in America.
- Make sales calls with broker and attend trade show.
