Major Food Group seeks experienced and qualified Baristas to join our team at Contessa Boston!

Contessa is the crown jewel of dining atop one of Boston’s most glamorous hotels, The Newbury Boston. Delightfully re-imagined, this rooftop destination is inspired by the old-world resorts of Europe and the lasting estates of Italy where classic grand trattoria cuisine awaits.

As a valuable addition to our team, you must ensure that guests have a pleasant and memorable dining experience. These individuals will be the key points of contact for guests throughout their dining experience. They must have the ability to work well with the team and provide the utmost level of hospitality to our guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare all coffee and other beverages for restaurant patrons

• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks

• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age

• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies

• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

• Greet guests in a timely manner and take orders

• Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team

• Inventory efficiency – ensure all product has application and purpose

Job Requirements:

• Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual.

• Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service.

• Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays).

• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.

• Team-orientated and positive attitude

• Proficient in computer skills including POS systems, Word and Excel.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required
