Job Description :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fabric development and production processes, coupled with strong leadership skills to effectively manage cross-functional teams. This role requires a keen understanding of industry trends, garment manufacturing standards, and a proven track record of success in the development phase of the fashion business.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate closely with our design teams to understand and execute their vision for new fabrics.
- Process sample requests and ensure that tech packs are sent to factories within 1-2 days of receipt.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between our design teams and the factories producing our samples.
- Troubleshoot production challenges, including issues related to printing, dyeing, and specialized applications (e.g., embroideries, flocking, rubberized prints, sequins, etc.).
- Manage daily communication with factories and resolve any questions or issues related to product development and production.
- Maintain and update a sample chart from all factories on a weekly basis to track progress.
- Ensure that reasonable turnaround times are always communicated clearly to internal teams.
- Think creatively and problem-solve when faced with design challenges or budget constraints.
- Demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of communication and production coordination, both with internal teams and external factories.
