Senior Manager of Web, Project and Program Communications
Position Summary: Play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Communications Department, covering all areas of web and other digital platform maintenance (Player Hub and app) and email marketing. Assist with the production, design and execution of digital communications for key MLBPA events, projects and programs, as well as Player communications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all digital and web platforms, ensuring design consistency and timely distribution of information and content to all MLBPA internal and external constituencies, including but not limited to Player app, bulletins, emails, website and portal updates.
- Manage calendar, development and design of Player email campaigns.
- Design layout and manage all content added to both the MLBPA (www.mlbplayers.com) and Players Trust (www.trust.mlbplayers.com) websites regularly, including press releases and features, as well as create interactive pages for events and campaigns for public and internal Player and staff use. Collaborate with IT on all tech backend and website functionality improvements.
- Collaborate with all relevant teams on website content development and layout for internal and external platforms.
- Support (Associate) Director of Special Projects, Programs and Initiatives on creating necessary graphics, collateral, and other digital and web content for key events, campaigns and projects.
- Assist with the presentations for internal meetings, key events, and other assignments, focusing on design consistency and effective visual communications strategies. Key events include the annual Executive Board Meeting, Spring Training, All-Star Game, Agent Meetings, and all other domestic/international events as assigned.
- Serve as Provide guidance and oversight to Communications interns as needed, including in all digital applications and platforms, including graphic and website design.
- Develop and organize records of all digital files serving as primary resource for all documents, design/art files, and archival recordkeeping, in conjunction with Communications Coordinator(s).
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of related professional experience in digital media
- Specific proficiency in digital media, graphic design, web design and creative services, particularly Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator)
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, digital media, marketing/advertising or related majors

Salary: $90,000 to $100,000 per year
