Overview:
The Tournament Commercial Partnerships Lead is a key role in driving the commercial success of the 2025 Major League Cricket (MLC) season. This role is responsible for maximizing sponsorship, partnerships, and revenue opportunities while ensuring seamless execution of commercial obligations throughout the tournament. The individual will work closely with our commercial partners, internal stakeholders, and other tournament vendors to deliver a world-class event.
Reporting to the COO, the Tournament Commercial Partnerships Lead will oversee all aspects of sponsorship fulfillment, brand activations, hospitality sales, and overall revenue generation tied to the tournament. The role requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in sports marketing, sponsorships, and commercial strategy.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Sponsorship & Partnership Management: Lead the execution of all commercial partnerships, ensuring fulfillment of contractual obligations and maximizing brand activations.
- Revenue Generation: Develop and execute strategies to drive sponsorship, hospitality, and advertising sales for the tournament.
- Hospitality & Premium Sales: Oversee the development and sales of premium hospitality experiences, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
- Brand Activations & Fan Engagement: Work with marketing teams to integrate sponsor activations into the fan experience, ensuring maximum engagement and brand visibility.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with MLC franchises, corporate partners, and vendors to ensure commercial success and alignment with overall tournament objectives.
- Contract & Compliance Oversight: Ensure all commercial agreements are executed effectively, maintaining compliance with MLC policies and sponsor requirements.
- Game-Day Operations: Oversee commercial aspects on match days, including sponsor visibility and in-venue activations.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in sponsorship sales, partnerships, or commercial operations within sports, entertainment, or major events.
- Proven track record of driving revenue through sponsorship and hospitality sales.
- Strong understanding of brand activations, fan engagement strategies, and sports marketing principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced event environment.
- Experience in cricket or international sports leagues is a plus.
Location: The role will require on-site presence at each of the venues during the MLC 2025 tournament period.
