An In-Process Inspector provides support for Manufacturing through the process of audits and reports the quality status to Production and Quality management.
Essential Job Functions
An In-Process inspector supports customer requirements through the use of the Quality Management System procedures in order to verify product quality, document findings and report results. They also support the team as necessary with training or other special projects.
•Will be required at times to help with training of novice inspectors
•May be required to report to work early or stay late to cover another inspector's shift
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
An In-Process Inspector is a self-motivated, team-oriented individual who must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks. They must have good communication skills, both written and verbal and must be able to work effectively with others. They should have a high school or equivalent education. Having computer skills is a plus. Previous molding and mechanical inspection experience is preferred, but not necessary. Previous inspection experience a plus!
Physical Requirements
An In-Process Inspector may be required to lift, push, or pull up to and including fifty (50) pound cartons, work for extended periods on hard surfaces and work overtime, as necessary. They must also be able to distinguish color differences and visually discern minute defects and details of manufactured goods.
3rd shift (10:30pm - 7:00am). Wage includes shift differentials for off-shifts.
