What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Equipment Repair Technician position at Major Services?
Major Services is a growing pool services company based out of Hutto, TX. We serve the Central Texas area, and we are seeking a pool equipment repair technician to help keep our customers' pool equipment working properly.
Job Description:
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on swimming pool and hottub equipment to identify and address issues promptly.
- Conduct efficient and effective repairs on control systems, pumps, motors, heaters, valve actuators, filters, lights, plumbing, and sanitation equipment as needed.
- Prepare quotes and proposals for customers, outlining the necessary repairs and associated costs.
- Collaborate with customers, pool cleaning technicians, and office staff to provide regular updates on equipment status and repair progress.
- Maintain an inventory of commonly needed parts directly on the service truck to expedite repair processes.
- Complete work orders accurately and promptly, ensuring all relevant information is documented for billing and record-keeping purposes.
- Drive a company vehicle to customer locations
We are also looking for crew leads for this position.
Requirements:
- Residential appliance installers license a plus (we can assist you in getting licensed if you don't have one)
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving history
- Fluent in English
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- A good attitude, a willingness to learn, and a customer-oriented focus
