SUMMARY
The Bartender is responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience through excellent beverage service and genuine hospitality. Working in a luxurious ranch resort environment, the Bartender crafts and serves creative cocktails, fine wines, and other beverages with precision and flair, ensuring each guest's visit is memorable. The Bartender will also maintain the bar area, follow safety and sanitation standards, and assist with food service when necessary.
The ideal candidate for this position has a passion for hospitality and the craft of bartending. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to the Steps of Service as they apply to the saloon or bar setting and provide support to restaurant operations to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Take beverage orders from customers or wait staff, prepare and serve drinks as requested, and interact with patrons to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Mix drinks using an extensive range of ingredients, including liquors, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits, while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age requirements for all customers and monitor patrons to ensure responsible alcohol consumption.
- Assist patrons in arranging safe transportation if needed, such as calling a taxi or ride-sharing service.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the bar area, ensuring a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, glassware, and other accessories.
- Slice, pit, and prepare fruit garnishes for drinks, and maintain all prep needed for cocktail program.
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences, making recommendations to elevate their experience.
- Communicate order needs for liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies, and assist in restocking and replenishing bar inventory.
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations and uphold safety and sanitation standards.
- Prepare and serve meal accompaniments, open bottled wine, and bus and set tables as needed.
- Assist with takeout orders and provide additional support as necessary.
- Actively participate in training and development programs, continuously seeking opportunities for personal growth.
- Foster positive relationships with guests, staff, community members, and government officials, ensuring professional and courteous interactions at all times.
- Communicate effectively with support crew and management to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Ensure full compliance with the company’s operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the smooth functioning of the resort’s operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant bartending or hospitality certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bartending, preferably in a high-end or luxury setting.
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks, as well as an understanding of wines and spirits.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for customer service.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- TIPS or equivalent alcohol training certification preferred.

- Seasonal Bonus Program:
- All hourly employees will be able to participate in our seasonal bonus program. Each hourly employee will receive $1 per hour worked per season and $1.50 per overtime hour worked. Employees who are terminated or resign from their position before the end of each season, will not be able to participate in this program. If the season is cut short due to business levels, the employee will still participate in this program. Positions that are contracted at a shorter term, like the Outdoor Youth Adventures program, this employee will be able to participate in this program. All hours worked outside of these seasonal ranges will not apply to this bonus program.

- Ranch Gratuity:
- In addition to your hourly rate, you will receive a ranch gratuity unique to us.

- We also understand that every full work week requires a little me time. And what better way to unwind than to take advantage of the many summer activities the ranch has to offer? As long as there are openings, you have free access to the following in the summer season: horseback riding, Outdoor Youth Adventures Program, Yellowstone National Park Tours, yoga, and mountain biking. During the winter months, you will have access to 50 Miles of world renown cross country ski trails right outside your back door.
- Health Insurance and PTO:
- If you remain with us for 1 full year and worked a minimum of 1560 hours during our 12-month lookback period (that takes place at the end of each year), you are eligible for full-time status. Full-time status means Vacation and Sick pay, medical, dental, life and vision insurance. This will be effective the first of the month following 30 days of your full-time employment hire date or status. The Ranch will pay for 80% of the premiums for employees and any dependents. Employees will be responsible for paying the remaining 20% of the premiums. Payment is deducted automatically from the employee’s semi- monthly paycheck at a pre-taxed rate.

- While we know that we are in one of the most beautiful and sought-after destinations in America, we also know we are a little off the beaten path. The ranch will provide complimentary transportation to and from the airport, should you come to us by air.
