What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wish Department Intern - Spokane, WA position at Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help with details of wish-granting, which include but are not limited to:
- Procurement of in-kind goods and services for wishes
- Assist with creating and editing travel reservations
- Process and upload incoming wish paperwork to digital files
- Create wish documents and assemble wish packets
- Interact and steward current wish granting volunteers
- Attend team meetings
- Spanish translation experience available for bilingual interns
- Special projects as assigned
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Attention to detail and ability to complete multi-step administrative processes is imperative.
- Excellent writing, editing, communication and organizational skills.
- Enthusiastic, reliable and proactive team player who enjoys working in a collaborative and fun work environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); database entry.
TIME COMMITMENT
- 4–6-month commitment (one semester or 2 quarters, or summer), available for 6-15 hours per week (negotiable).
- Our office is located at 104 S Freya St, Yellow Flag Bldg #207, Spokane, WA 99202 (Tapio Building). Our normal working hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
