LOCATION: Central Alabama (Montgomery/Auburn), home-based
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for coordinating the wish experience within the policies and procedures established by the National Office and the local Make-A-Wish Alabama chapter. Responsible for managing all aspects of designated wishes and ensuring: (1) the child’s wish is safe and appropriate; (2) the wish is magical and care-free for the child and family; and (3) the proper policies and guidelines of the Foundation and chapter have been followed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains sensitivity and confidentiality to families being served by the Foundation
- Communicate with health care professionals, volunteers and family members to ensure each wish proceeds in the best interest of the child, and ensure all required authorizations are received.
- Ensure a quality wish experience for every child served. Coordinate all specific aspects involved with the wish, including but not limited to: transportation, accommodations, services, assisting chapters, medical equipment, liability forms, itineraries packets, and mailings
- Completion of assigned wishes in a timely manner to meet chapter goals
- Develop strong relationships with vendors/donors chapter-wide to secure in-kind donations for wishes
- Apprise Director of Mission Delivery of unusual wish situations as they arise
- Update and keep current wish database and equivalent electronic files on each child
- Assures timely reconciliation of wish cash and assigned credit card charges
- Establish budget for each assigned wish. Track financials for each wish. Reconcile all wish expenditures for completed wishes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Mission Delivery
- Must be local to the Auburn/Montgomery metro area

- Minimum of 2-4 years relevant experience
- Healthcare and/or non-profit experience is a plus, as is Bilingual (Spanish)
- Organized, self-motivated and committed individual who can work in a client-oriented environment while working in a remote setting
- An entrepreneurial spirit; a highly-driven, energetic, detailed individual with a roll-up-the-sleeves yet disciplined work style
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Excellent computer skills required (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint); Salesforce experience is a plus
- Regular travel throughout the Central Alabama region with occasional statewide travel required; valid driver’s license required
- Willingness to work nights/weekends as necessary
