Position Overview:

- Hours: Full-Time (Tuesday-Saturday 8am-4pm)
- Compensation: $68,640 salaried, per year
- Location: On-site in San Diego, California
Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Program Development and Design:
- Design new educational programs based on organizational needs and goals
- Review and enhance existing programs to ensure they are up-to-date and relevant
- Ensure programs meet quality standards and compliance regulations

Training and Curriculum Implementation:
- Oversee the execution of MAKE’s educational and training programs
- Coordinate logistics, materials, and resources needed for program delivery
- Manage program schedules and ensure timely delivery of activities

Team Collaboration:
- Work with educators, facilitators, and other staff to implement and evaluate programs
- Train program staff to ensure high-quality program delivery

Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop and implement systems to assess the effectiveness of educational and training programs
- Collect and analyze feedback from participants and stakeholders
- Provide regular reports on program performance and suggest improvements

Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure programs and trainings comply with local, state, and federal educational regulations
- Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, including grant reports and performance evaluations

Business Operations:
- Supporting our farm and kitchen operations in a production, supervision and/or training capacity as needed
- Other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Experience: five (5) years of experience in education, youth services or workforce development preferred
- Excellent social and communication skills, including verbal and written skills
- Must have a valid drivers license and willingness to drive
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Work Environment:
- This position involves leading job training participants, interns/volunteers, field trips and summer camp programming on our farm
- Participant job training operations also occur in our restaurant (MAKE Cafe) opening in fall 2025
- This position works outdoors on the farm roughly 60% of the time and 40% office-based.
- Other project management work and team meetings are typically conducted in an office setting, with potential for remote work on Tuesdays
Compensation and Benefits: This is a full-time, salaried position at $68,640 with paid time off, paid sick leave, and medical/dental/vision health insurance plans. MAKE Projects also offers a matching 401k retirement plan.
