Job Overview
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing team in Charlottesville, VA. This is a full-time, on-site role with a salary range of $65,000 to $75,000. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Design mechanical solutions for industrial and manufacturing clients.
Visit client sites to take measurements and gather project details.
Develop design concepts using AutoCAD, REVIT, and Plant3D .
Work with project teams to create construction documents and present designs.
Manage small projects independently while collaborating with a team.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) from an ABET-accredited school .
2-5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing facility design.
Strong skills in AutoCAD, REVIT, and Plant3D .
Familiarity with HVAC, piping, pumps, motors, P&IDs, and industry codes .
EIT certification (preferred) and an interest in pursuing a P.E. license .
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
