ARE YOU THE CONSTRUCTION FINISHER OUR TEAM NEEDS?
- 1 years of experience in construction, concrete finishing, asphalt paving, site grading, or pavement maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measurements
- Experience with placing concrete from a truck, buggy, or pump
- Proficiency in flatwork, ADA ramps, patio drip edges, wall and curb forms, stairs, and screening
- Ability to finish concrete efficiently and independently using tools like steel trowels, floats, edgers, and bull floats
- Strong knowledge of grades, form setting, and print reading
WHAT VITAL ASSISTANCE DO YOU PROVIDE?
As a Construction Finisher, your schedule will vary depending on project needs. Some days may require early morning starts, ensuring we complete jobs efficiently and on time. This role offers on-site work, where you will be dispatched daily from home directly to your assigned job site.
You will be involved in all aspects of concrete and asphalt installation, repairs, and site preparation. Each day, you will mix, pour, and place concrete and asphalt, ensuring a high-quality finish while setting up and dismantling forms, temporary structures, and job sites. You will perform physical labor, such as digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating power tools like saws, drills, jackhammers, and compactors. Your role will also include assisting skilled tradespeople, supporting the foreman, and helping to lead and educate the crew.
You will need to follow safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and ensure that tools and equipment are properly handled. Additionally, you will operate single-axle dump trucks and other work vehicles, making reliability and safety a top priority.
