What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Specialist, 3rd Shift position at Maker's Pride Talent Acquisition Team?
Job Summary:
Responsible for coordinating weekly cycle counts as well as coordination of month end activities. Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and work cross functionally to resolve. Proactively work to prevent unnecessary aging of materials to prevent loss. Lead by example, train material handlers on cycle counting effectively and educate on the importance of inventory accuracy. Conduct regular cycle counts and update perpetual inventory. Reconcile production orders for accurate finished good production and material consumption.
Job Duties:Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Point person for day-to-day inventory issues
Manages cycle counts for geographic counting(A-Z): generates cycle count list, may involve daily cycle counting, and cycle count corrections
Root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies, look for solutions to recurring problems
Track and maintain inventory accuracy for cycle count and HTL (High Traffic Location) accuracy at your site. Log in formation in to Share Point.
Report out weekly cycle count and HTL (High Traffic Location) accuracies for your site.
Account for all production usages for each production run, check for variances/errors during reconciliation.
Respond to count requests from various departments promptly depending on priority
Ensure accuracy of cycle count transactions
Execute dispositions after material(s) have been physically removed from warehouse, removing material from SAP.
Monitor all blocked quants and resolve in a timely manner.
Monitor HTL (High Traffic Location) areas and send out daily emails to departments that need to follow up on pallets sitting longer than 24 hours.
Attend drumbeats to discuss any Inventory Control issues that are being caused by other departments not following correct processes.
Investigate and resolve any negative quantiles showing in all systems.

Required Competencies & Knowledge:Knowledge of:
Maker’s Pride products, production and inventory processes.
Material handling, Receiving warehouse and flow of materials
Skilled in:
Organization and time management
Data analysis and problem solving using defined methodologies
Decision making
Forklift operation experience is an added bonus
Ability to:
Lead by example, promote team work
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ensure collaborative relationships with Hearthside staff
Work effectively with all levels of the organization

Operate fork lifts, pallet jacks, scissor lift and shuttle truck
Work in a detailed oriented fashion
Proficiency in: MS Office Suite, and Excel (SAP a plus)
Work Environment:
Work is primarily done in an office and warehouse setting in a high-speed manufacturing site
Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting at a work station for extended periods of time
Stand, walk, climb stairs on a frequent basis
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2 or more years’ experience of supply chain experience
Demonstrated math skills
Demonstrated computer skills; MS office and email, SharePoint a plus
Experience with ERP or WMS programs, SAP a plus
Self-driven and can work with minimal supervisor. Takes a proactive approach.
