We are currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated Luxury and Exotic Automotive Service Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to oversee a high-end service department, manage a team of technicians, and ensure an exceptional level of customer satisfaction.
Position Summary:
The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our service department, which specializes in high-end luxury and exotic vehicles. This role involves managing the service team, ensuring quality repair and maintenance services, handling customer relations, and maintaining the efficiency and profitability of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of technicians, service advisors, and support staff to provide high-quality service and repair for luxury and exotic vehicles.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training to ensure the team remains knowledgeable on the latest technologies and service techniques for luxury and exotic brands.
- Manage staffing schedules and workloads to optimize productivity while maintaining a high level of service quality.
- Customer Service & Relations:
- Provide exceptional customer service and act as the primary point of contact for high-net-worth clients.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, keeping them informed on vehicle maintenance needs and repair status.
- Service Department Operations:
- Oversee all service department activities, including vehicle intake, diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and final quality control.
- Ensure all services are performed according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and services completed and ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Inventory & Parts Management:
- Work closely with parts and inventory teams to ensure that all necessary parts and tools are available to complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Monitor and manage parts ordering and stock levels to minimize delays in service.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to maintain favorable relationships and ensure timely delivery of specialized parts.
- Financial & Performance Management:
- Set and manage department budgets, ensuring cost control while maintaining high-quality service.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as labor hours, repair efficiency, customer satisfaction, and revenue.
- Implement strategies to increase profitability, improve operational efficiency, and reduce overhead.
- Marketing & Business Development:
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to promote the service department and attract new clients.
- Represent the company at industry events and maintain a presence in the luxury automotive community.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an automotive service management role, with a focus on luxury or exotic vehicle brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, etc.
- Proven track record in managing high-end service operations with a strong understanding of vehicle repair, maintenance, and diagnostic systems.
- Technical Expertise:
- Extensive knowledge of luxury and exotic vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) certification or equivalent training preferred.
- Strong understanding of automotive service management software and dealership management systems (DMS).
- Leadership Skills:
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing and motivating a team of technicians and service professionals.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-Focused:
- Exceptional customer service skills and a strong commitment to providing the highest level of client satisfaction.
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and understanding the unique needs of luxury car owners.
- Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate with clients, staff, and upper management.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred.
- A degree in automotive technology, business management, or a related field is a plus.
