Position Overview:
The Desktop Support Specialist will respond to user requests assigned through the IT Helpdesk. The position will also resolve system and network issues and work on enterprise projects as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to users via phone, email, or in-person
- Travel to agency locations as needed to diagnose and resolve network and hardware issues
- Provide support for Office 365 and other applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the OSI model
- Assist with common help desk tasks, including password resets, software installations, and user support
- Document issues and resolutions in a clear and concise manner
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless support
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a help desk or IT support role
- Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of common help desk procedures
- Strong knowledge of Office 365 and Exchange
- Understanding of the OSI model and its application in troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift/move computer equipment including desktops/laptops and monitors. Must be able to lift 20 pounds, bend, and stoop
- Must have reliable transportation, driver’s license, and ability to travel to sites (generally not more than 100 miles) on a regular and sometimes last-minute basis

Compensation:
A salary within the range of $20.43 to $27.64 per hour will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the MOC compensation philosophy.
