The Systems Engineer assists clients and the internal support team to resolve day-to-day issues that come up on servers and networking equipment such as Windows Servers, Exchange servers, Microsoft 365, Internet Services, Security Services and other equipment like firewalls, wireless Access Points, Routers switches. Work may be required to be performed on-site but the majority of the work is performed remotely. In addition to providing support for reported issues with the infrastructure, project work is also part of the responsibilities, new deployments of server, networking and security as well as Cloud services such as Microsoft 365 deployments or migrations.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required. A minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Systems Administrator is required.

- Minimum 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
- System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network-related fields are a plus
- Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Experience with scripting and automation tools
- A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
Work Environment
This full-time position operates in both professional office and field environments. You will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Availability for emergency overtime, including before and after standard work hours, is required.
