Duties

- Process medical billing tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic and Meditech for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks related to patient records and billing.
- Ensure all patient information is handled in accordance with HIPAA guidelines to maintain confidentiality and security.
- Assist in the maintenance of organized files and documentation for easy access by healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall service delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical scheduling or health information management is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing processes and understanding of HIPAA regulations is essential.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Meditech.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in maintaining accurate records and files.
- Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
