Phlebotomist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques to effectively collect blood and urine samples while providing compassionate support to patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures for blood sampling in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during the blood collection process.
• Accurately label and handle specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Document patient information and procedures accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and follow-up.
• Monitor vital signs as necessary before, during, and after blood collection.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies needed for phlebotomy procedures.

Skills

• Proficient in venipuncture techniques and blood sampling methods.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the circulatory system.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and protocols within a hospital setting.
• Ability to perform vital sign assessments as part of patient care.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage documentation accurately.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
