Job Summary:
The Laser Machine Programmer will be responsible for programming and maintaining client part files, interpreting engineering blueprints, and ensuring that laser-cut parts meet required specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience programming lasers for sheet metal and tube fabrication, as well as proficiency in industry-specific software.
Essential Functions:
- Utilize work orders, blueprints, sketches, and written/verbal instructions to determine job requirements.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications.
- Program and maintain current file revisions of client parts.
- Interpret engineering blueprints to draw pattern layouts of parts using TruTops Boost and BLM ArTube software along with SOLIDWORKS.
- Work closely with clients' engineers to ensure accurate execution of designs.
- Maintain laser machinery and report all issues promptly.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Exposure to odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day.
- Ability to lift at least 55 pounds.
- Good vision required, with or without corrective lenses.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience programming lasers for sheet metal and tube fabrication.
- Experience with Trumpf laser and BLM tube laser preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Strong knowledge of material properties and the application of mathematics and dimensions to production machinery and tooling.
- Proficiency with software including TruTops Boost and ArTube.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary ranging from $50,000 - $55,000 per year (based on experience).
