Position Title: Metal Manufacturing Logistics / Shipping & Receiving / Forklift Operator

Position Type: Full-Time (40hrs Hourly)
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a hybrid role focused on logistics, shipping and receiving, and forklift operation within a metal manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of materials and products throughout the facility and to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Material Handling:
- Coordinate the flow of raw materials and finished goods within the facility
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using ERP or warehouse management systems
- Ensure materials are staged for production in a timely manner
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and quality control departments to maintain efficient operations
Shipping &Receiving:
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments for quality and accuracy
- Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation
- Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and freight companies
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping/receiving area
Forklift Operation:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Load and unload materials from trucks, racks, and storage areas
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations
- Valid forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain)
- Familiarity with basic computer systems and inventory software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a metal manufacturing or industrial environment
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and lean manufacturing practices
Schedule:
4x10 or 5x8, First Shift 05:00-3:30PM, and potential overtime based on production needs
