We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grow Technician to support the growth and maintenance of cannabis plants in an indoor cultivation environment. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):
· Hand watering and caring for early-stage vegetative plants
· Training plants through techniques such as skirting, topping and defoliation
· Cloning plants and maintaining clone health
· Setting up and maintaining trellis
· Transplanting plants as needed
· Mixing and preparing nutrient tanks for optimal plant growth
· Perform routine cleaning tasks, including but not limited to: cleaning pots, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming
· Harvesting in collaboration with post-harvest team
· Identifying and monitoring plants for signs of pests or other damaging conditions
· Assist with moving plants between rooms
· Maintain a clean, organized and efficient work environment
· Maintain open and effective communication with management team and co-workers
· Being punctual and ready to work at scheduled time
· Taking on additional responsibilities as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Valid OLCC worker’s permit required
· Must be at least 21 years of age
· Minimum 1 year of experience in cannabis cultivation
· Ability to lift 50 pounds safely
· Comfortable working in a hot and humid environment
· Excellent time-management skills with ability to meet deadlines
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to effectively plan and prioritize tasks
· Ability to get to and from work independently
· Ability to take direction and work effectively within a team environment
SCHEDULE:
· During the 3-month training period, the schedule will be Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm, which includes two optional 15-minute breaks and a 1-hour lunch break
· After completing training, the position will transition to a rotating weekend schedule
COMPENSATION:
· Starting pay $20 per hour, with opportunities for growth and advancement based on performance
*Please note this is a 1099 position
