What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Engineer position at Malace HR?
Malace|HR is seeking a full time Building Engineer stationed in Pittsburgh PA as needed for coverage and emergency response, will travel to multiple buildings, company vehicle provided. The role would be M-F on 1st shift and pay between $25-28 per hour.
Responsibilities:

Completing NFPA required testing including churn tests, generator transfer tests, exit and er lighting, fire door checks etc and basic maintenance to include a good knowledge in plumbing repair, minor electrical repair, keys and locks, wall and ceiling/ceiling tile repair, general clean up and a basic knowledge of hvac mechanical and control system (hands on work is not performed on hvac and just a basic knowledge is needed). Experience in maintenance related to NFPA, medical property management, environment of care practices, hospital services/medical practices is preferred. MUST BE willing to respond to emergencies 24/7/365 unless scheduled off. Must have a clean drivers record and excellent attendance. Note: this position requires comfort with a professional behavior and communication and strong knowledge in building hvac, controls, plumbing etc. The position also requires a good amount of ladder work, stair climbing, weather exposer etc., this is a very physical position and needs someone with high energy and motivation to work.
Commercial maintenance experience is required, medical is preferred.
