Forklift Operator

Malace|HR is seeking an experienced forklift driver to join our warehouse operations team located in Fairfax, Kansas City. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift, pallet jack, or tugger to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The forklift driver will perform their duties in a safe and efficient manner, following company policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for assisting the custodial team with cleaning as needed.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse and production areas.
2. Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
3. Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
4. Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance tasks.
5. Identify safety hazards in the workplace and take corrective actions.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse environment.
7. Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor or manager.
8. Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a forklift operator
2. Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain one.
3. Strong understanding of warehouse best practices.
4. Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and operate heavy machinery.
5. Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
6. Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
7. Good organizational and time management skills.
8. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
